If your East Orlando fall calendar still has a blank Saturday, fill it: Moon Over Avalon — the fifth annual Mid-Autumn Festival & Night Market — lands this Saturday, Sep. 26, from 4 to 9 p.m. on Avalon Lake Drive.
Avalon Park Orlando’s official event page is unusually clear about the big change: this is a new venue. The address to put in the map pin is 12001 Avalon Lake Drive, Orlando 32828 — not last year’s muscle memory for Founder’s Square or the Marketplace beer-garden footprint. Organizers are billing 30+ unique vendors, Asian cultural performances, a lantern workshop and parade, plus craft stations and games. Admission is free.
Asia Trend Inc. hosts the festival in partnership with Avalon Park; free general-admission tickets are live on Zeffy (same date/time/location in the event schema). Grab one even though it’s free — it helps organizers plan, and it keeps the correct Avalon Lake Drive pin in your phone instead of an old screenshot.
How to play the evening (family edition)
Start earlier than you think. Four o’clock is when you still have daylight for the craft station and lantern workshop; the parade energy belongs to the darker end of the window. Eat your way down the night market between sets. Bring a lawn chair if your crew camps for performances — Avalon’s page doesn’t require it, but East OC evenings get long when kids hit the sugar wall.

Not Oktoberfest. Not Lake Nona.
Two calendar traps for the same East corridor:
1. Avalon Park Oktoberfest is a different event — Town Park beer garden Oct. 9–10.
2. Lake Nona Oktoberfest is also Saturday, Sep. 26 — same night, different neighborhood. You can theoretically double-header; they are not the same party.
