The clock is on the wall

One of the Milk District’s most beloved neighborhood bars is pouring toward a hard stop.

The Nook on Robinson announced it will permanently close Saturday, October 31, 2026, after more than eight years at 2432 E. Robinson Street. Owners Matt Duke and Mary McGinn thanked the community and did not publish a detailed reason; they said the bar continues operating normally through Halloween. Reputable local reports (Bungalower Aug. 7; Orlando Weekly) and the festival circuit agree on the date.

Opened March 2018 in the old Sandwich Bar space, The Nook became the Milk District’s living room for Florida craft beer, local art, vinyl nights, live music, and the slightly weird regulars who make the neighborhood feel like itself. Duke told Orlando Weekly in a prior anniversary interview that neighborhood growth was both exciting and harder for a small independent bar to survive — context, not a gotcha.

How to spend the remaining nights

Treat October like a checklist, not a eulogy tour:
